Just as often as I’m asked if a person should be taking supplements, I hear – I don’t feel a difference. This question more then anything is frustrating! Let me ask you: Did you FEEL your fat cells kick in each time you ate those fries? Did you FEEL a difference as cancer began in your body? Did you FEEL a heart attack coming on all those days prior to the actual event?
In the words of Dr. Myron Wentz, “People are living too short and dying to long.” It is very rare for someone to just wake up one day with sickness and disease… chronic degenerative disease (the kind that kills us slowly) is the leading killer today and includes heart disease, cancer, osteoporosis, diabetes.
The Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) has even stated, “it appears prudent for all adults to take vitamin supplements.” You can check out the full article here: Vitamins for Chronic Disease. Vitamin supplements are THE best insurance policy you could possibly invest in. And at less than $3 per day for a high-quality supplement – it’s an essential element you should not skip.
While there are no guarantees you’ll feel a difference (we are talking about complimentary medicine versus instant gratification, I mean Western, medicine) at any particular point… if you are not taking them consistently, if you are not taking the correct dosages or if the rest of your lifestyle leaves something to be desired (lack of sleep, poor eating habits, little to no exercise, medications, smoking, alcohol, and a whole host of others) – those poor supplements have a LOT of work to do and therefore you may not be getting the full advantage of them.
Be sure your cells are getting everything they need, every day to improve cell function. What it doesn’t get, it will find from other sources in your body… creating an overall sense of degradation in your body.
